BRERET Adolphe Maurice est né le 20 mai 1912 à Saint-Trojan-les-Bains en Charente Maritime, fils de Adolphe Antoine Garton Breret et de Lea Célestine Bourit, il épouse Madeleine Lahary avec laquelle il a un enfant. Mobilisé et incorporé au 618e Régiment de Pionniers, il est fait prisonnier le 25 juin 1940 à Sainte-Marguerite et transféré au Stalag XIIIA. Il est mis au travail dans un détachement d'agriculteurs à Oberzenn. Début juin 1944, il tombe malade et a beaucoup de fièvre, le 12 juin 1944, alité et entouré de ses camarades, il succombe vers midi. La cause officielle du décès est une tuberculose pulmonaire.
